My boss got into the Microsoft Partner software download section and confirmed that SP1 has been released there in addition to MVLS.

SOOOO, you should have put window 8 pro on that thing, then turned on Hyper V. then run your VMs from that. im using a optiplex 980 with win8pro and have like 6 vm's running no prob.
