So the event registration is going to be like the running of the bulls at the Expo opening this year! I better start doing my keyboard excercises now to be prepared. :-)

System Center Blog Relaunch

Posted: 26 Nov 2012 03:23 PM PST

For the last few years, the System Center Blog here at http://blogs.technet.com/b/systemcenter has been run by the System Center marketing team.  They moved to a combined System Center + Windows Server + Cloud blog at http://blogs.technet.com/b/server-cloud about a year and a half ago.  Since then things have been pretty quiet on this blog.  The engineering team has now taken over the System Center blog and will be blogging on more technical topics related to System Center all up or how multiple components of System Center can work together.  All up System Center announcements from the engineering team will also be posted here.  Going forward we will post these broad announcements only on the System Center blog so you'll definitely want to subscribe to this RSS feed and check in often.  For a couple of months, we will make the main announcement post here and refer people to those posts from the System Center component blogs to make sure people are aware of the System Center blog.

All of the content previously posted on this blog will remain for archive purposes.  The System Center engineering blogs for each of the components of System Center will also remain and be actively contributed to for those of you that are interested in just one or two of the components.

For reference these are all the System Center engineering component blogs:

Service Manager - http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager

Operations Manager - http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam

Virtual Machine Manager - http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm

Orchestrator - http://blogs.technet.com/b/orchestrator

Data Protection Manager - http://blogs.technet.com/b/dpm

Configuration Manager (Engineering) - http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/

Configuration Manager (Support) - http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/

You'll also notice that the System Center blog has been added to the Server and Tools blog network.  It inherits the same style as the other blogs in the network including the special navigation header that makes it easy to navigate between the blogs in the network.

Please leave some comments for us on topics you would like to hear us blog about!

Thanks for reading!

This book describes these new and improved features. It focuses on IT pros, however, so we spend fewer pages talking about the new user interface and more talking about management, deployment, and security. This book is just an introduction, an overview. For more detailed information about any of the features
and capabilities you learn about in this book, the one resource you need to know about is the Springboard Series on TechNet. The URL is simply: http://www.microsoft.com/springboard
